# Extended permission to carry out installation

Sharing access or living in managed accommodation? It’s always best to double-check so everyone stays happy:

* **Shared Front Garden or Driveway?**\
  You may need your neighbour’s OK to run fibre cables across shared land.
* **Housing Association or Estate-Managed Building?**\
  Review any communal works rules in your tenancy or lease.
* **Renting?**\
  Check your tenancy agreement or ask your landlord before we install any new wiring.

## **Flats and high rises**

Our engineers excel at connecting all shapes and sizes of buildings, but taller blocks often need extra planning:

1. **Permission from Third Parties**\
   You might need a sign-off from your landlord, managing agent or freeholder before we drill or run cables in communal areas.
2. **Internal Wiring Considerations**\
   Some flats require bespoke cable routes inside corridors or risers. We’ll flag any complexities when scheduling your install.

## **If permission is required**

1. **Wayleave Agreement**\
   We’ll send you a simple wayleave form—either by post or email—for the relevant party to sign (neighbour, landlord or managing agent).
2. **Download & Sign**\
   You can also download the form at the bottom of this page.
3. **Return to Us**\
   Email the signed document to [<u>contactus@optua.co.uk</u>](mailto:contactus@optua.co.uk), or, post it back to us at **2nd Floor, 48 West George Street, Glasgow, G2 1BP** and we'll pass it to our infrastructure partner.

Install dates may be delayed if we don’t receive permission in time—so get that form back to us as soon as you can!

By checking permissions early, you’ll ensure a smooth, speedy installation—and get online without a hiccup.
